Bad Omen in Minecraft is a status effect that causes a raid to seem when an afflicted player enters a village.
In Java Edition, Bad Omen in minecraft potency determines the amount of waves of the raid (and thus final wave difficulty) that the player triggers upon entering a particular radius around a bed that a villager has claimed. If the raid leads to player victory, the Hero of the Village’s potency equals the Bad Omen’s potency (capped at level 6). In Bedrock Edition, no matter Bad Omen in minecraft level, it always has an equivalent effect.
